Merge PDF Files

Join several PDFs into a single document in the order you choose. The files are combined on your own device, so contracts and statements stay private.

How to merge PDF files

  1. 1

    Add PDFs

Choose or drop two or more PDF files.

  2. 2

    Set the order

Use the arrow to move a file up; the top file comes first.

  3. 3

    Merge and download

Press Merge PDFs to get one combined file.

Pages are copied, not re-printed

Merging copies the original pages into a new document, so text stays selectable and searchable and images keep their original quality. Bookmarks and form fields from the source files may not carry over.

Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first; if a file cannot be opened you will see a message next to it.

Private merging

Your file is opened by your own browser and converted on your device. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no queue, no file-size quota and no copy left on someone else's server. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded and the conversion still works.

On iPhone

This page works in Safari. iPhone's Files app can also combine PDFs (select files → Create PDF), but only in name order. Details in our merge PDF on iPhone guide.
